Update | Mother and daughter among three arrested in MOCA anti-fraud operation
· The GleanerThree people were arrested early Friday during simultaneous “targeted” operations in two parishes, the culmination of an investigation into a multimillion-dollar fraud uncovered at the HEART/ NSTA Trust, sources have revealed.
A mother and her daughter were arrested during one of the operations in Montego Bay, St James.
The other person was apprehended in Portmore, St Catherine.
No charges have been laid.
The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) confirmed early Friday that its agents, along with the police, were conducting a “series of simultaneous and coordinated targeted” operations in both parishes.

Major Basil Jarrett, director of communications at MOCA, said the security forces went to two locations about 5:00 a.m. in search of “a number of persons suspected to be involved in a major fraud investigation at a government entity.”
