The countdown to this year's biggest pre-Christmas shopping event is well and truly on. Yes, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are almost here.

For those looking to save on their Christmas shopping or eager to snag some deals, the dates surrounding Black Friday and Cyber Monday present the perfect opportunity. You can usually find some of the best deals across tech, fashion, electronics, beauty, toys and more!

When is Black Friday 2024?

Unlike Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the date of Black Friday changes every year. It typically falls on the first Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States.

This year, it will fall on Friday, November 29, just a month before Christmas Day. You'll usually be able to shop thousands of money-saving deals across that whole weekend until what is called Cyber Monday, on December 2.

Originally a US phenomenon, the Black Friday weekend has become a staple fixture in the UK shopping calendar for many years. It is now one of the biggest sales and has even overtaken Boxing Day as the busiest shopping day of the year.

When do Black Friday sales start?

While many retailers will wait until Friday, November 29, to launch their Black Friday sales - some have started even earlier. Amazon, for example, started their Black Friday week on Thursday, November 21.

Other retailers that have already kicked off their sales include Dunelm, Boots, Debenhams, Currys, New Look, John Lewis, Argos, Ninja, Dyson, Sephora and more!

When will Black Friday sales end?

Typically, we expect the Black Friday sales to continue over the weekend and into Cyber Monday. We anticipate most deals to conclude at 11.59pm on Monday, December 2.

However, we do foresee many retailers continuing to slash prices into December in the run-up to Christmas. While some prices may continue to drop over the Black Friday weekend, you could also risk your purchase selling out if you wait too long.

How can I find the best Black Friday deals?

While it might be tempting to keep adding items to your basket, or rushing straight to the tills because you think it's a massive saving, it's best to do your research and ensure you're actually getting the best value deal. And don't be tempted to buy something just because it's on sale.
