Dunnes Stores are giving away major prizes as they confirmed how to land them.

The supermarket normally offers vouchers to shoppers who collect VALUEclub points.

However, in the lead up to Christmas they have launched a new scheme to give away additional money.

To take part, shoppers just need to spend €50 or more in-store or online across grocery, fashion, or home departments each week.

By doing so, they will earn a “Christmas star” and the more stars you collect, the bigger the prizes you may receive.

Prizes include cash rewards, shopping vouchers and hampers filled with amazing products.

You can check out your VALUEclub points and vouchers on the Dunnes app, but make sure you register and have all your clubcard information correct.

On the app, it says: “We’re giving away €150,000 worth of prizes! Entry runs Thursday, 14 November - Wednesday, 18 December.

“Spend €50+ and use your VALUEclub each week on grocery, fashion or home across one or multiple transactions.

“Earn a Christmas Star each week. More Stars = Bigger Prizes!

“Win big in one of our 5 draws taking place at the end of the competition.

“News stars will appear at the end of the next day.”

The supermarket has also updated their clubcard points policy ahead of Christmas.

In a statement, Dunnes said: “VALUEclub points earned up to 2nd November are being converted into Christmas VALUEclub Reward vouchers.”

If you have earned over 200 points, the total on the app will switch back to zero when the points have been converted.

They added: “New points earned will accrue in the app for purchases made from the 3rd of November onwards.”

On the Dunnes website, it says: “To get your VALUEclub Reward vouchers in the app, download the Dunnes Stores App from your phone's app store and add your existing physical VALUEclub card number to your app account when signing up. If you do not already have a VALUEclub card you will be provided with a new digital card when signing up to the app. If you would prefer to use a physical card you can pick one up in-store and register your card here."

They added: “If you have already created an online VALUEclub account with password simply download the Dunnes Stores App and log in using your VALUEclub username (ie your email address or mobile number) and password.

“For every 100 points collected, customers receive a €1 VALUEclub Reward voucher. If less than 200 points are earned during the collection period, these points will be carried forward and added to the next collection period.”
