Drawing millions to its bi-weekly draws, participants pick six numbers from 1-47, along with a bonus number, in the hope of landing life-changing jackpots.

But which numbers have proven to be the least likely picks?

According to data from Betway, the unluckiest lottery number in Ireland is 36, having only been drawn 98 times. In second place is number 33, which has featured on winning lottery tickets 103 times.

Number 26 comes in third (106), followed by 11 in fourth (107) and numbers 32 and 46 (108) in joint fifth place.

On the other hand, topping the list as the luckiest lottery number in Ireland is 27, appearing a whopping 156 times on winning tickets throughout the country. The second luckiest number is 42, appearing 143 times.

Numbers 29 comes third (141), followed by 38 (137) and 22 (136).
