'We've lost Christmas': Canada Post won't be able to deliver holiday packages, experts say

Canada Post reportedly missed delivering 12 million parcels in early December

Those hoping to receive holiday presents by mail sent via Canada Post will not be getting a Christmas miracle. It could take around a month to clear the backlog of packages and letters, estimates one expert.

“It’s not like going in the garage after you’ve been gone for three weeks and starting up your car. It’s probably going to be five days before they can even start to process stuff, I would expect, in some of these larger facilities,” professor of operations management at Western University’s Ivey Business School Fraser Johnson told the Toronto Star.
