Tesco issues urgent message to anyone who buys Baileys at Christmas
by Unzela Khan · NottinghamshireLiveTesco has provided a key update for Baileys lovers this festive season. According to Tesco's Christmas Trends Report 2024, the popular drink is a top choice for host gifts and the second most favoured gift for friends and family this Christmas.
This makes it an ideal time to stock up on Baileys, a holiday favourite that's also perfect for seasonal recipes like Festive Eton Mess or an Irish Cream Chocolate Yule Log. Starting Tuesday, November 19, Tesco is offering 1L bottles of Baileys at their lowest price of the year*.
Until December 9, shoppers can grab a bottle for just £10** with a Clubcard, saving 54 percent (£12). Tesco's Christmas delivery slots also opened last week, attracting eager shoppers who queued from the early hours.
Priority slots were available from November 5, but regular customers can now secure their slots as of 6am on November 12. Booking either a click and collect or home delivery slot with Tesco couldn't be easier.
Simply head over to the Tesco website, book your chosen slot and then continue on with your food shopping online as usual. It's worth noting that you can make any changes to your order up until your selected slot, reports the Express.
Tesco offers two options for home delivery: a 'fixed one hour slot' and a 'flexi saver slot', both providing customers with a one-hour window on their delivery day. However, the click and collect service only provides a fixed one-hour window.
Currently, Tesco's Christmas food slots are open from November 12 until December 20 for home delivery, and until December 22 for click and collect. These slots are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening, but they're being snapped up quickly.
Delivery slots come at a cost, ranging from £3 to £7 for regular shoppers, depending on the chosen time and date. Click and collect is slightly cheaper, costing between £1 and £3.
For those who prefer not to pay for online food shopping, Tesco's Delivery Saver Pass is an option to consider. This monthly subscription removes the need to pay for an online slot.
The supermarket charges just £4.99 a month for a six-month 'off-peak' pass, while its 'Anytime' pass costs £7.99 per month for six months. The pass is also available for the click and collect service, costing £2.49 per month for six months.
However, shoppers should weigh up if their weekly online shopping justifies the costs. More information can be found on the Tesco website.
