MONROVIA- As part of efforts in commemoration of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week around the world, Youth Entrepreneurs Network-Liberia with support from Mercy Corps Liberia on Thursday, November 19, 2024, hosted a two-day Entrepreneurs conference in Monrovia.

The two-day Conference with the theme: “Generation For Change-shaping The Future Of Youth Entrepreneurship,” brought together over 50 youth leaders and young entrepreneurs from across the country.

Hamid Gbawuru Marah, Prospective IV Market System Development Team Lead, speaking on behalf of Mercy Corps on Thursday, November 19, 2024, during the opening ceremony of the Entrepreneurs conference in Monrovia, said the Global Entrepreneurship Week is dedicated to showcasing, celebrating, and creating forums for entrepreneurs to engage and improve on their business strategies.

According to him, the Global theme which is “Inclusive growth and innovation,” has set the pace for full-scale collaboration including the marginalized coming together to ensure that everyone has access in an equitable way.

“In order for us to ensure inclusivity as entrepreneurs, we can build on technology in a productive way to create social media platforms that reach out to a lot of people across Monrovia,” Ahmed said.

He, however, lauded Youth Entrepreneurs Network-Liberia for smooth cooperation to ensure the success of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week in Liberia.

The president of Youth Entrepreneurs Network-Liberia Benjamin Dagher, for his part, praised Mercy Corps and other partners for the collaboration, adding that the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebration in Liberia is meant to bring together young entrepreneurs of Liberia to have a sit-down and strategize ways to strengthen the market system in Liberia.
