Interest in buying SilverStar Resort has been expressed, though nothing has come of it as of yet.

"JP Morgan Chase will be taking the resorts —Mt. Bachelor, Eldora and SilverStar—to market in the coming week (or weeks)," Stacey Hutchinson, vice president of communications and government affairs of Powdr. Corp, said in an email.

From there it's unclear how long the sale will take, but Hutchinson said it could be upwards of 12 months, and plans to run the resort this season, as usual, are well underway.

She added that there's already been several inquiries into purchasing SilverStar and they "have sent them all to JPMC."

In August, when the sale was announced, Hutchinson said the aim was to balance the company's ski business with new ventures in the National Parks sector and Woodward.

“We do not expect any changes to products, roles, and operations at SilverStar for the 24/25 winter season, and we will continue to conduct business as usual as we work to finish off the summer biking season and open the resort for skiing and riding in November, 2024," Silver Star said in a statement when they announced the property would be sold.

It was 2019 when the company bought the then-family-owned resort.
