Gasthaus gives back

Gasthaus on the Lake in Peachland has come up with a unique way to help the hungry in the Central Okanagan.

The popular Peachland restaurant is offering a 20 per cent discount on food and drink with a donation to the Central Okanagan Food Bank starting on Nov. 20, and running until Dec. 31, 2024.

Jamie Morgan with Gasthaus tells Castanet, "anybody that goes into either the food bank in Kelowna, West Kelowna, or to our restaurant, they just need to make a donation to the food bank, and they're going to receive a voucher from us to get 20 per cent off their entire bill, including alcohol."

Morgan says they are still looking for another food bank to partner with, but the promotion will start in November and the coupons will be redeemable in January and February.

"We just don't have the money we used to have to actually just give (it) to the food bank, but we can discount bills for $10,000 over those couple of months," Morgan said.
