DigiKey adds MediaTek to its linecard

Products available for immediate shipment include MediaTek’s development boards, development kits and programmers, ICs and RF and wireless products.
Taiwan’s MediaTek is the fifth largest fabless semiconductor company in the world, said DigiKey. Its portfolio includes SoCs for embedded systems, mobile devices, home entertainment, network and connectivity, automated driving and IoT as well as embedded and power management ICs (PMICs) and RF transceiver ICs.
Mike Slater, vice president, global business development for DigiKey, commented: “The addition of MediaTek products to DigiKey will allow our customers to drive forward the next generation of power-efficient technology in a variety of important global industries.”
The portfolio includes the Genio 350 for portable, home or commercial IoT applications (pictured), the Genio 700 and 1200 SoCs for AI and IoT use cases, and 510 SoCs with varied interfaces for IoT designs range. Genio development kits are also available. Other SoCs are the Density series for 5G smartphones and Helio for 4G smartphones.
Sameer Sharma, assistant vice president of IoT at MediaTek added that the company’s Genio products “empowers edge AI and connectivity in a wide range of IoT applications”.
