The 75 new roles span a wide range of disciplines, including silicon design, hardware, datacenter infrastructure , software and AI research.

Positions are on offer across all of Graphcore’s global offices: Bristol, Cambridge and London in the UK, Gdańsk, Poland and Hsinchu City, Taiwan.

“Graphcore is a place where people can come to do their very best work.” says Graphcore CEO Nigel Toon, “whether your expertise is in silicon, systems, software, AI research or any of the other functions that we are expanding, this is a chance to work at the leading-edge of your field.”

Details of the newly created roles and how to apply to Graphcore directly will be posted on the jobs section of Graphcore’s website. Potential candidates are also invited to submit their resume/CV directly to careers@graphcore.ai.

When Graphcore joined SoftBank Group, the company pledged that it would “continue to invest in the creation of high-skilled jobs spanning a range of disciplines”, particularly in the UK, where it is recognised as a leading employer in the country’s high tech economy.

Graphcore is playing a central role in SoftBank Group’s work to further the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

“Next generation semiconductors and compute systems are essential in the AGI journey, we’re pleased to collaborate with Graphcore in this mission,” said Vikas J. Parekh, Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers, at the time of the acquisition, in June 2024.

Eight year-old Graphcore raised $700 million in venture money and at one tine had a valuation of $2.8 billion but 2022 sales were $2.7 million for a loss of $205 million and 2023 sales were $4 million. Softbank is believed to have paid about $600 million for the company.

”Graphcore will join Softbank group to build the next generation of AI compute, we are part of the delivery behind a very grand vision,“ said Toon at the time of the sale to Softbank.
