Smart India Hackathon-2024 finals inaugurated at NIE

According to experts, SIH is a good opportunity for young minds to showcase their creativity and technical skills.
The solutions emerging from this hackathon could pave the way for India’s future technological advancements, impacting society at large, said Satish Pratapneni, System Development Director at Lenovo India, who was the chief guest.
Dr. Rohini Nagapadma, principal, NIE Mysuru spoke on the pivotal role of innovation and technology in addressing contemporary challenges. She emphasised that the Smart India Hackathon provides students with a unique platform to apply their creative minds to real-world problems, fostering collaboration, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving.
‘’The Smart India Hackathon is a game-changer for students, as it not only enhances their technical abilities but also prepares them for the complexities of the professional world. As an institution, NIE Mysuru is proud to be part of this nationwide initiative, which is shaping the future of India,” she added.
The platform will enable students to explore their potential, collaborate with experts, and develop solutions that address the nation’s most critical challenges, said Mr. Rohini Nagapadma.
Gopal Sharma, start-up fellow at the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, Sangeeta Garg, strategic business developer at Autodesk Education, Sathya Kumar, treasurer, NIE-MC were also present.
The organisers said SIH-2024 promises to be an engaging and transformative experience for all participants, as they collaborate to develop solutions that address critical challenges faced by society. The event will conclude on December 15, with the presentation of innovative prototypes and solutions developed by the participants.
