ECoR General Manager inspects Damanjodi-Jagdalpur Section of Waltair Division

General Manager of East Coast Railway Parmeshwar Funkwal, inspected the Damanjodi-Jagdalpur section, with emphasis on infrastructure development, doubling works, and operational efficiencies. Accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager Manoj Kumar Sahoo and other senior officers, the General Manager reviewed various crucial construction activities enhancing traffic throughput and passenger amenities.

The inspection covered a range of critical areas including traffic facility works in the section. Mr. Funkwal meticulously assessed ongoing infrastructure projects, traffic management initiatives, and operational strategies aimed at improving freight train mobility and throughput for efficient cargo handling. He stressed the need for timely completion of ongoing projects to boost operational efficiency across the section.

The General Manager inspected Damanjodi, Koraput, Jarati, Jagdalpur stations Damanjodi-Koraput-Kirandul route, including Railway siding at NALCO- Damanjodi, Tunnel at Jarati and the Take off point at Ammagura. He conducted a window trailing inspection of the section, monitoring the progress of doubling works, curves, bridges, tunnels, and safety measures.
