It's pulled in an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 from across 10,421 global ratings. One shopper said: "The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky stands as a testament to the brand's legacy of crafting exceptional spirits. From its exquisite flavour profile to its impeccable presentation, this whisky is a true embodiment of single malt excellence."
A second wrote: "Smooth creamy and easy to drink. When on offer you really can't go wrong. No its not complex, but a nice fruity, vanilla under toned all rounder."
A third penned: "At less than £25 this is the best value Whisky out there. I always have this in my cupboard. I drink this with water or on the rocks and it has an enjoyable flavour, not harsh and easy to drink. For reference my favourite whiskies are Aberlour 12, Glenfiddich 15, Balvennie Double cask, Old Pulteney 18 and Bunnahabhain, so I tend towards less peated, more delicate flavoured whiskies and Glenlivet is in that category for me. The whisky has a nice flavour, lots of subtle hints of creamy toffee and vanilla with and oak taste that comes with a little warmth."
Some shoppers complained it was too smoky, with one writing: "Got this because of the reviews that said it was a good smooth sweet whisky, and on sale for about £21. On trying it, however, there is a subtle lingering smokiness which i really dont like. best way to describe it is as a bitter orange taste which stays at the back of the throat. It is smooth and if you like a little smoke in your whisky this may be for you. but i will end up mixing this unfortunately."
