Shoppers 'ditch central heating' for £47 oil-filled heater that 'warms a room in 20 minutes'

As the colder months are drawing in fast, many households will be looking at ways to take the chill off their rooms without having to switch on the central heating and warm up the whole house. A quick and easy way to do this is through a portable heater.

The online retailer is offering the 'neat' and 'attractive' Electric 2500W 11 Fin Oil Filled Radiator Heater with a massive 55% saving. It typically retails for £104.99 but shoppers can snag it for £47.21, offering a saving of almost £58.

While the Electric 2500W 11 Fin Oil Filled Radiator Heater only has one review at Debenhams, it boasts an overall star-rating of 4.3 out of five from over 200 ratings on Amazon. One shopper said: "Reliable. Currently renovating an old cottage, this served as the primary heating for the entirety of the winter. Great heat output for the size."

A second wrote: "Brilliant radiator, used in our garage conversion, warms the room up quickly and due to the thermostat keeps the temperature at a nice level whilst in use. Looks great in black and goes with our décor."

Somebody else mentioned: "A great buy. Does exactly what it says and heats up quickly. I have it in the living room and after 20 minutes it's lovely and warm." Among the very few two-star reviews left on the Neo Electric 2500W 11 Fin Oil Filled Radiator Heater, one shopper hailed it as 'disappointing'. They said: "Very disappointed with this radiator, doesn’t give out much heat to be honest."

But another loved their latest purchase, mentioning: "I would recommend this radiator. Have it in my conservatory and it heats the area well. Attractive, neat and smart. I was surprised that I had to attach the coaster wheels myself but this was relatively easy to do. A good value product."
