The products recalled from Farmfoods, SPAR, Dominos and Tim Horton's over safety fears

Products sold in SPAR, Dominos Pizza, and Farmfoods are among those being recalled in the UK this month.

Recalled items listed on the Chartered Trading Standards Institute website include corned beef, pizza dips and sandwich fillings and chicken nuggets.

The following items have all been recalled.

SPAR - Corned Beef

Hazard

James Hall & Co Ltd is recalling SPAR Corned Beef because Listeria monocytogenes has been found in the product. This recall only affects SPAR stores in the Northwest of England.

Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.

Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.

Hazard

Farmfoods is recalling Qualiko Frozen Chicken Battered Premium Nuggets because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Farmfoods is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
