Over the coming weeks and months, deep dives will be taken into his legacy - from his decisions surrounding the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan to his support of Israel’s war in Gaza.
Part of Joe Biden’s time in office, however, was spent championing and standing by the Good Friday Agreement during a politically sensitive tine in Northern Ireland.
He reportedly once said that he visited in 2023 to ensure that the "Brits didn’t screw around".
