This investment will go towards state-of-the-art new all-weather facilities that can be shared by different users in the community.
Mr Lawless welcomed both investments, saying: “I am delighted to confirm the great news for the people of Kildare.
“Having lobbied strongly for both projects, it is particularly fulfilling to see local projects like this, dear to my heart awarded such significant funding.
“And if I am elected by the good people of Kildare North again in the coming weeks, I can promise it will be more of the same from me up in Leinster House for the next five years.”
