Martin Lewis has issued a warning to anyone paying off an outstanding loan - and it could mean you pocket £1,000. The BBC Sounds podcast presenter has issued a plug for his latest episode via Twitter, now X, explaining why it's a vital listen this week.

Mr Lewis said: "Worth anyone who is paying off their outstanding loan listening to. Many getting £100s back, some £1,000s." Mr Lewis said: "Can you get £100s student loans back? | Are Premium Bonds worth it? | Car Finance mis-selling update, and lots more - do have a listen to my new podcast...."

On the BBC Sounds website, the broadcaster explains: "Martin Lewis asks are you one of over 1m who overpaid their student loan and can get it back? We are looking at the latest car finance update, which could double the number of people who are due a payout on their claims.

Hayley wrote: "I love reading your emails and I wanted to let you know I've had some fantastic luck with the student loan refund you wrote about. I thought it would need some figures or calculations from me, but no, I clicked a couple of buttons and I've been emailed to say I'm getting £1,359.

"Thanks so much, very welcome as the Christmas season approaches. Keep up the great work." If we've helped you save (on this, or owt else), send us your successes."
