Virgin Media is offering a deal to new customers.

Sky and BT customers alerted to 'cheapest ever' deal

by · Birmingham Live

Customers of broadband providers such as Sky and BT are being alerted to a switching deal which has been labelled the "cheapest ever". The deal is available with Virgin Media and is for new customers only.

That means customers with some of the biggest competitors may want to check out the offer and see if it could save them money on their bills. The team at Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert (MSE) said it was the cheapest ever switching deal from Virgin in a bid to lure in new customers from rivals.

They said households would end up paying £17 a month for broadband under the 18-month contract. They have highlighted the offer as a way households could save money, adding switchers in 60% of UK homes could benefit from changing provider.

While the deal is £24 a month for new customers, the account also comes with credit, effectively making it cheaper. MSE explained: "Cheapest EVER Virgin 264Mb broadband '£17/month'. Switchers in 60% of UK homes can get this Virgin 264Mb broadband-only deal for £24/month, with an automatic £125 bill credit, meaning it's equivalent to £17.06/month over the 18 month contract.
