Love Island winner Jack Fincham charged after Cane Corso 'attacks man'

Reality TV star Jack Fincham has been charged with allowing his out-of-control dog, named Elvis, to bite a man.

The Love Island winner faces two counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.

In one incident, in Grays, Essex, in June this year, the dog, a hulking black Cane Corso, caused no injury.

But on the second occasion, in Fincham's hometown of Swanley, Kent, in September 2022, the dog is alleged to have injured a man named Robert Sudell, according to court documents.

Fincham, who has an on-off relationship with fellow reality star Chloe Brockett, will have his case heard in January at Southend-on-Sea magistrates' court.

He previously came under fire from his Instagram followers for purchasing the dog from Russia in 2021 because of its cropped ears.

At the time, PETA's Director Elisa Allen told MailOnline: 'While it is the breeder who was likely responsible – not Jack – PETA urges him to use his huge social media platform to speak out against this cruel practice.'

He recently posted a photo of himself with the dog and wrote: 'My best friend in the whole world. Have a story to tell you very soon. Sometimes I think this country is done honestly.'

He was inundated with supportive comments from fans.

A source said: 'Jack probably feels like the world is against him right now.

'The dog has already attracted a lot of controversy. Now this has all kicked off as well.

'It means another court appearance.'

In March, Fincham was spared jail after speeding his £50,000 car during a cocaine binge.

He was behind the wheel of his BMW 520D driving down the hard shoulder of the A2 in Kent when he was stopped by police.

Fincham later admitted drug driving and driving without due care and attention.

He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and using false number plates.

Fincham, who won the ITV show's 2018 series with Dani Dyer, told the court he was 'driving angry' to see a friend 'who was in a bad way' in August 2023.

He was given a 12-week sentence suspended for 18 months.

He was also disqualified from getting behind the wheel until October 2029 and must complete 250 hours of unpaid work.

The drug-driving conviction was Fincham's second in five months after he was banned from driving for three years the previous October.

The latest charges come after a difficult weekend for Fincham after he split with Brocket - then got back together.

Chloe posted an Instagram story on the weekend in which she wrote: 'Me and Jack are no longer in a relationship, carrying the weight of a 32-year-old who refuses to pay any bills has become somewhat tiresome. Girls, remember to never settle. Always bites you in the backside.'

She later retracted the statement and wrote: 'Hey guys. I shouldn't have wrote what I said yesterday, it was untrue and said in anger. From now on I'm going to keep my private life, private. Choose to remain classy in every situation and not air my own dirty laundry. Happy Sunday guys x.'
