DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake will, after all, have Denuvo

Square Enix revealed that DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake will be using Denuvo, two weeks before the game comes out. As we can clearly see, Denuvo is now listed on the game’s Steam store page.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake promises to be a stunning reimagining of the beloved masterpiece and narrative beginning to The Erdrick Trilogy. As with all HD-2D remakes, it has a visual style similar to what we first saw in Octopath Traveler.

The remake also promises to have an improved and modernized UI, and other quality of life improvements. Not only that, but players can also expect new animations, additional improvements such as an adjustable battle speed, an auto-battle setting, and more.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will offer a deep exploration of a vast world map with an abundance of rich and captivating locations to discover, challenging players to overcome many unexpected encounters during the journey. The game will also have an immersive, authentic, and diverse musical composition.

Square Enix will release Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake on November 14th and you can find its official PC system requirements here. The game has been available for pre-order for a while, without Denuvo being listed on the store page. To be honest, this doesn’t really surprise me. Still, SE has, once again, misled people. As with all other publishers, they should have listed Denuvo the moment the game became available for pre-orders.

Square Enix is one of those publishers who has been constantly removing Denuvo from its games. So, I’m pretty sure they’ll remove it in 2025.
