Strictly's Wynne Evans dealt huge blow just hours before Blackpool show

Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans could be in jeopardy of leaving the BBC competition, according to ex-professional dancer Ola Jordan.

The 52-year-old singer, known for his appearances in the Go Compare adverts, has so far dodged elimination but now faces a potential challenge as the contest moves to the iconic Blackpool Tower.

Ola shared her predictions in a recent chat, stating: "I think Wynne and Montell will be in the bottom two this weekend, or Wynne and possibly Jamie."

In her discussion with Mecca Bingo, she elaborated: "I don't think Pete Wicks will be in the bottom two yet, but he's got a tricky dance so he might not do that well. I'm still thinking he's going to get votes though so for me, Wynne and Montell or Wynne and Jamie will be in the bottom two this weekend."

Earlier in the week, there was speculation among fans when Wynne unexpectedly pulled out of an appearance on It Takes Two. Earlier in the competition, the entertainer was caught up in controversy when viewers noticed Katya Jones, his professional dance partner, conspicuously moved his hand away from her waist during a live show.

This incident led to rumours of tension between them, although they both insisted it was merely a private joke, reports the Mirror.

Janette Manrara, the host of the BBC spin-off show, addressed the unexpected change in the guest line-up, explaining: "If you've got any questions like, 'Why are Chris and Dianne on when yesterday we said it was going to be Wynne and Katya?' It's live TV, guys. You've got to roll with it, alright? Just roll with it."

There was no explanation given for Wynne's absence, but he had taken to social media prior to his Blackpool appearance to update fans. On Wednesday, he shared that he was already in the city preparing for Saturday's live performance.

In a moment re-shared from Katya's account, Wynne was shown relaxing on the couch with a Tottenham mug in hand. When quizzed by Katya with a "why?", he joked: "Because I support Spurs."

He also showcased an evening shot of the illuminated Blackpool, posting "We're in town."

Last weekend saw Wynne on shaky ground after ending up in the dance-off against Shayne Ward, whose departure followed when head judge Shirley Ballas cast the deciding vote. Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse had voted for Shayne, while Anton Du Beke showed support for Wynne.
