Ant and Dec have been cheering on their friend Paddy McGuinness from down under as the comedian completes his epic Children in Need fundraising challenge. From Australia, where they're currently filming I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, they've sent a heartfelt message on Instagram Stories cheering on Paddy as he geared up for the last stretch. Paddy has been cycling 300 miles across Scotland, England and Wales in a mammoth fundraising effort for Children In Need 2024.

Ant and Dec were keen to encourage Paddy ahead of his final day of cycling. They posted: "You're almost there @mcguinness.paddy, what an amazing challenge and incredible amount of money you have raised! We're cheering you on from Australia! #PaddyUltra"

Paddy has raised an amazing £6m for the charity. People across the country have been showing immense support for McGuinness, who started from Wrexham AFC in North Wales all the way to Glasgow on a Raleigh Chopper bike.

As well as Ant and Dec, comedian Peter Kay, took to BBC Radio 2 with some rousing words for McGuinness: "Got no where ya going, got no where ya going, cycling on the road to no where – somewhere actually. Hello Patrick me old pal, keep peddling, keep thinking of all those children you're helping by riding that chopper, a chopper! What were you thinking? We didn't even have a chopper when we were at school. "I love ya, I'm proud of ya son – you can do it, get across that finish line and get yourself a nice garlic bread! This is the way to Glasgow-rilla".

Ahead of Thursday's leg of his extraordinary fundraising effort, Paddy McGuinness shared his heartfelt feelings: "We're just starting the day off and we're over £3 million... Wow, I keep saying this because it's the strangest thing, I'm absolutely in bits physically and emotionally but I will miss this, I will miss this positivity, this feeling of love that everyone's getting behind Children in Need.", reports the Mirror.

He continued to express his affection for the support, "Oh I love it, I love it so much... Do you know, we've got all day to go, the people in Scotland are amazing already, the people all across the rest of the country are still donating and I want who's anyone in Scotland, tomorrow, and we are going to get to Glasgow, by hook or by crook, I'll drag the bike and walk if I have to.
