The Rooney family met Donald Trump on a visit to the White House in 2018

I'm A Celebrity's Coleen Rooney gave two-word response to Donald Trump after 'dirty' White House comment

I'm A Celebrity contestant Coleen Rooney reminisced about meeting former president-elect Donald Trump during her time in the US. The 38 year old is featuring on the latest series of the ITV show and made the revelation in the latest episode.

While spending time in the jungles of Australia, she's been shedding light on her personal journey and casually brought up her past residence in America during Sunday night’s episode.

Renowned as a television figure along with her spouse, former England footballer Wayne Rooney, now 39, they both lived in Washington, D.C., from 2018 to 2019. It was during Wayne's tenure with D.C. United that the family called the US capital their home, reports the Mirror.

Apparently, Coleen and Wayne – who would eventually become manager of the squad – had the honour of guesting at a Christmas event hosted by the White House in December 2018. Their visit to the President’s house was a family affair, with sons Kai, now 15, Klay, now 11, Kit, now eight, and Cass, now six, all in tow.

Coleen raised the subject while chatting amidst fellow contestants on the latest instalment of I'm A Celebrity. Sharing details with some campmates, she recounted: "When we lived in America, we were invited to the White House for Christmas and we went in to meet ... so it was Donald Trump [who was President]."

She relayed more of the encounter: "So we walked in and we got to get like y'know the official photograph taken in front of the Christmas tree and stuff. So Donald Trump said to his son 'see? Told ya, all the soccer players get the good looking girls'. And I told my mum - I was like 'dirty b*****d'."

Coleen then went on to suggest that Trump, who is now 78, had "wanted Wayne to go over to like teach his son ... like play football with his son."

Reports from six years ago, during Coleen and her husband's visit to the White House, indicated that Trump and his wife Melania Trump's son Barron Trump, now 18, was an admirer of footballer Wayne and the sport itself. In a recent conversation on 'I'm A Celebrity', fellow campmate and McFly member Danny Jones inquired about Coleen's impressions of the politician, asking: "Is he that orange? " To which Coleen responded shortly after: "He was very orange!"
