Charlotte Crosby hospitalised after terrifying burglary at home during pregnancy
by Chiara Fiorillo · ChronicleLiveCharlotte Crosby has spoken out following her terrifying break-in, revealing that she has been hospitalised. The Geordie Shore star, who is currently eight months pregnant, was at home with her two year old daughter Alba when the masked intruders entered.
Her fiancé Jake Ankers attempted to chase the four machete-wielding robbers but was unable to apprehend them. Now, the 34 year old has updated her followers on Instagram, stating that her Black Friday plans have been "crippled" due to the incident, which she confessed she is still trying to process.
She reassured her fans that her baby is fine despite being in hospital. However, she expressed her frustration over experiencing "misfortune after misfortune" this month.
In her latest Instagram Stories update, Charlotte wrote: "Can't believe all my plans for our huge Black Friday activation have been crippled! As I'm typing this I'm laid in hospital. Baby is all fine thank you for all the messages!
"But I was meant to be at work today! Getting the message out to you all about our HUGE Black Friday celebration! And showing you all the amazing deals we have on! This month has had misfortune after misfortune. I want to thank you all for your kind messages about the break-in the other night. Still something I'm really struggling to come to terms with."
She then directed her followers to the official Instagram page of her business, Pepper Girls Club, encouraging them to check out its Black Friday sale, offering discounts of up to 85 per cent.
Jake shared details of the terrifying incident on Thursday, stating: "I can't believe I'm saying this but some little ***** have tried to rob my house with my two year old and my partner who is nearly eight months pregnant, armed with a machete", reports the Mirror.
He revealed that he pursued the four intruders but was unable to apprehend them, adding: "One of them who was in the house at the top of the stairs had a red balaclava on. He is the one that had the machete. Me little girl's in the house. Me partner's in the house."
The 33 year old appealed to his Instagram followers to share any information they might have.
Charlotte and Jake moved into their home together in 2021. They renovated the luxurious property, which is reportedly worth over £1million.
A police statement read: "Police were called shortly before 7pm on Thursday (November 21) to reports of a burglary at an address in Houghton-le-Spring. Officers attended the area however the suspects left the scene before their arrival. Nobody was injured in the incident and no items are believed to have been taken. An investigation is now underway and anyone with information is asked to contact West CID on 101 quoting incident number 365 of November 21."
Charlotte Dawson and her partner Jake have been hit with a tough blow, just as they announced back in September the joy of expecting their second child. Alongside this fantastic news, Charlotte also revealed an Autumn/Winter collection for her brand Pepper Girls Club.
She jubilantly posted: "In my babies and business ERA. Delighted to announce baby Ankers number 2 is due January 2025 and also delighted to announce @peppergirlsclub AW collection is live now RIGHT NOW! ! ! ! " She further enthused: "I really wanted to combine these 2 moments as everything I've been building with Pepper over the last few years is for my family and I'm so proud of it! ! We are so excited to be a family of 4! " The couple later shared that they're expecting a little girl.
