The first trailer for season 3 of The White Lotus has been revealed – watch it below.

The HBO black comedy-drama will be returning on February 16 on streaming service Max, and it looks as though a new set of guests will be checking into the hotel.

Following seasons set in Hawaii and Sicily, the upcoming season will take place in Thailand. And while there are lots of new additions to the cast, season 1 character Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell) makes a return.

Belinda, first introduced as the manager of the hotel in Maui in the debut season, is enjoying a transfer stay at the sister hotel in Thailand.

Among the other stars of season 3, meanwhile, include BLACKPINK’s Lisa – whose character welcomes the guests to the hotel in the trailer – Jason Isaacs, Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Parker Posey, Leslie Bibb and Scott Glenn.

This is Lisa’s first acting role and the star, who’s Thai herself, previously told Elle what viewers can expect from the upcoming season. She said: “It’s pretty new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos. I’m excited for my fans to see it,” adding that it was great “to be back home, to have Thai food every day.”

Earlier this year, HBO announced it would be recasting a role originally given to Serbian actor Miloš Biković. While they didn’t give an explanation, the decision came after the Ukraine Ministry Of Foreign Affairs said in January that he had been a supporter of Russia’s invasion of the country.

For his part, Biković said: “Today, a targeted campaign has been unleashed against me, seemingly as an external manoeuvre to influence decisions that can create a disturbing precedent shadowing the essence of artistic freedom.

“The result of such a narrative is the triumph of absurdity and the defeat of art.

“I grew up in a war-torn country. At the age of 11 I endured days and nights in shelters while my homeland and my hometown were bombed. And could never wish such devastation on anyone.”

Meanwhile, NME gave season 2 of The White Lotus a five-star review, writing: “Over the subsequent six episodes, it’s going to be so much fun finding out which of these guests are really awful, which are only moderately awful, and which are awful but sort of worth rooting for. You’ll definitely be praying Tanya ditches her rubbish husband after he basically fat-shames her for eating too many macaroons. And what show but The White Lotus could make you feel that way?”
