John Travolta “healed” Marlon Brando’s injured leg using Scientology exercise at Barbra Streisand party
'Dune' actor Josh Brolin opened up about the incident in his new memoir
by Damian Jones · NMEJohn Travolta once healed Marlon Brando’s injured leg using a Scientology exercise, according to Josh Brolin.
The Dune actor, who is the stepson of Barbra Streisand, recounted how the incident happened at one of her star-studded dinner parties in his memoir From Under the Truck.
“It should have been a joke, but it turned out to be this amazing collective experience that I got to witness from afar,” Brolin told Variety. “At the time, I was like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’ Now I look back on it and go, ‘That was such a sweet moment.’”
He continued: “Scientology has nothing to do with it. I got to see somebody take care of somebody else in this thoughtful way. It’s funny how your perspective can change.”
Brando, who was best known for his role as Vito Corleone in The Godfather, died in 2004.
Brolin’s memoir, which is out now, documents his own breakthrough in The Goonies to adult milestones like roles in No Country for Old Men and Milk. He also shares insights into relationships, addiction, love and fatherhood.

Earlier this year, many fans expressed their anger after Amazon Prime Video cancelled the sci-fi Western series Outer Range which Brolin starred in, just two months after the release of the second season.
The series saw Brolin star as a Wyoming rancher who discovers a mysterious black void on his property, while also fighting to keep his land out of the hands of a rival family with whom he has a long-standing feud.
In other news, Brolin recently revealed that he was disappointed not to be called back for Deadpool & Wolverine, having previously starred in the franchise’s second instalment.
Brolin, who played Cable in 2018’s Deadpool 2, said: “I so wanted to be in that movie [Deadpool & Wolverine].”
“Cable was a lot of fun. I really liked doing that role. That was a lot of fun,” he added.
