K-pop girl group Loossemble end contract with CTDENM
This comes just over a year after the group debuted under the new agency
by Gladys Yeo · NMELoossemble, a girl group formed by former LOONA members Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon and Hyeju, have left their agency.
Today (November 29), K-pop agency CTDENM released a statement through the girl group’s fancafe site sharing that their contract has ended. “Firstly, we would like to express our gratitude for the precious support and love for the members of Loossemble,” it said.
“We would like to inform you that the exclusive contract with Loossemble has ended,” CTDENM shared. “We sincerely thank the Loossemble members for their meaningful time with CTDNM, and are cheering them on their brilliant journey in the future. Thank you.”
At the time of publication, it is unclear if the group will disband or they intend to join a new agency. However, member Hyeju shared on fan messaging platform Fromm that they will “still be seeing each other”, and told fans not to worry shortly after the news broke.
This comes just a little over a year after Loossemble debuted under CTDENM in September 2023 with their self-titled EP. The five members, all of whom had been members of LOONA, joined the newly established company earlier that year after terminating their contracts with former agency Blockberry Creative.
Loossemble released three mini-albums in their time under CTDENM, the most recent being this September’s ‘TTYL’. The quintet also went on a US tour between September and October this year.
In other K-pop news, girl group NewJeans held an emergency press conference last night (November 28) announcing their departure from HYBE labels’ ADOR. The announcement comes after months of conflict between the group, former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE.
