Fair City Fergal Boyle’s mystery girlfriend lies are exposed by his mother

Georgie Dennis, played by Shaun Dunne, does his best to cover for Fergal Boyle in Fair City after Jacinta Boyle questions him about Fergal's mystery woman.

Fergal's lies about having a new girlfriend are exposed after Jacinta, played by Deirdre Donnelly, calls his bluff.

Gar worries that Fergal is up to his old tricks but keeps his suspicions from an inquisitive Ronan.

Fergal lashes out at Georgie for refusing to play along with his lie, but is conflicted when Georgie invites him to a gig at a gay bar. Fergal agrees to visit the gay bar, under the guise of getting Georgie off his back. Jacinta is amused when she catches Fergal fussing over his appearance. Fergal loses his nerve at the last minute and refuses to go out. An understanding Georgie agrees to back off from Fergal.

Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Mairead Casey, played by Amy Kirwan, assembles Sash, Dean and Sean to help Greg Kiely out with a job for Rafferty. Mairead assigns Sash and Dean to babysit Taylor for the day, while Sean is roped into cleaning with Greg on one of Rafferty’s sites.

Dean hides his unease when Sash voices her concern about Mairead’s “friendship” with Tyler. Mairead receives an invitation for Sunday lunch from Tyler and worries what else he has in store for her. A flustered Greg tries to hide that he received help from Rafferty and forgets to post an important letter in the process. Greg thanks the gang for pulling together to help him out.

Meanwhile, Nora Keogh, played by Ruth Hegarty, reluctantly agrees when Carol asks her to visit Jack in her place.

Erica is curious when she notices Doug’s awkwardness around Nikki.

Ray tries to comfort Nora when she admits the extent of her fear regarding Carol. Tommy’s antennae are raised when Carol mentions she’s meeting with a solicitor.

Erica confronts Doug about his awkwardness with Nikki, but he plays it down. Doug confides in Ray his worry that Nikki fancies him. Tommy is shocked when Carol asks him to act as executer of her will. Tommy reluctantly agrees to Carol’s request to ease her mind.
