Fair City's James Rafferty asked to pay €20,000 after secret love child bombshell

Holly pressures James for twenty grand, threatening to tell Hayley about his supposed love child if he doesn’t on Friday night's Fair City.

Hayley questions James’ sudden change of heart about moving to Dubai. James lies to her that an old business partner is shaking him down for money.

His anxiety grows when Rafferty refuses to bail him out. Hayley confides in Sharon her suspicions that James is concealing something.

Sharon hides her own upset to support Hayley’s opportunity for a new life in Dubai. James’ hopes for a swift escape to Dubai are dashed when Hayley insists it will take a few weeks to sort everything out.

Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Fergal is buoyed when Georgie comes to his defence against Jacinta. Gar and Jacinta are surprised when they see Fergal leave to spend the day with Georgie.

Ronan is sickened by Georgie’s growing friendship with Fergal and urges Georgie to wise up. He serves Georgie an ultimatum, but Georgie refuses to end his friendship with Fergal.

Meanwhile, Sharon urges Carol to count her blessings and focus on her recovery.

Carol bumps into Anna at the hospital and is forced to come clean about her cancer. Anna promises to keep her secret and reveals that she’s applied for a nursing job in Cork.

Plus, Doug is devastated to discover Erica and Nikki’s clash was all an act. Sharon feels for Doug when he confides his humiliation over Erica and Nikki’s games
