Fair City's Hayley Collins refuses to move home after fallout with mother-in-law Emma

James finds Emma’s earrings on Friday night's Fair City, but she refuses to apologise for going through Hayley’s bag.

Hayley refuses to return home until James makes Emma apologise.

James is relieved when Emma agrees to Hayley’s demands. The peace talks go well until Emma puts her foot in it with Hayley again.

Hayley grows disillusioned with James’ inability to stand up for her and places the blame for all their problems with James and his family.

Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Jacinta refuses to let Fergal go down for a crime he didn’t commit. Gar has no sympathy for his brother and thinks time inside will scare him straight.

Jacinta reaches out to Joan to act as Fergal’s counsel. She is thrown when a busy Joan sends Claire to take on the case.

Jacinta asks Claire to enter a “not guilty” plea on Fergal’s behalf. After reviewing his case, Claire advises that Fergal’s chances of avoiding prison are slim.

Dean is shocked when Gar informs him that Claire might get Fergal off. Fergal accuses Jacinta of only being interested in clearing her own conscience.

Meanwhile, Mondo calls in a favour from Gwen when an employee lets him down. Georgie is surprised when Gwen is chill about having to cancel a hair appointment to work. He later encounters Gwen and Mondo dressed as Smurfs for their gig.

Mairead tries to cancel a meeting with Tyler, but he reveals he has new info to share....
