Lucy Kennedy is one of Ireland's most popular and recognisable faces on TV and voices on radio.

The presenter has a broadcasting career spanning two decades, but she says that being a mum will always be her favourite job.

She shared that she has even turned down jobs that interfere with the school run. Due to her 6am early morning starts, she misses the school drop off, but is there to collect her kiddos every afternoon.

She is in synch with her kids when it comes to bedtimes too. "I am in synch with them, actually, and I love it."

"I now have two in secondary school. I cannot cope. Jack is on third year, Holly is in first year, and Jess is in first class. I still kind of baby Jess."

"I don't want to see her grow up. I am not quite a helicopter parent, but I love keeping the innocence and all of that."

"I'm a very affectionate mum, so at least with Jess she still loves the cuddles - Jack, I get a hug once a year," she jokes.

The family have moved homes in recent years, to the area where Lucy herself grew up.

She noted that it has been amazing to be able to share her own growing up experiences with them my bringing them to places she used to adore as a child.

"I'm able to bring my children to the same bookshop I went to 40 years ago. I spend my life saying 'when I was a little girl.'"
