Kerry Katona has opened up about how she has been feeling since her split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

She revealed earlier this month that the pair have gone their separate ways after six years together.

Now, she has said that she is embarking on a post-breakup "glow up" journey, sharing that she has lost a significant amount of weight recently.

Writing in her weekly OK! column, Kerry said: "I’ve had a bit of a break-up glow up to cheer myself up. I had my hair done by The Style Lounge in Cheshire and I absolutely love it. They say when you go through a break-up you should get a new hairstyle, so that’s what I’ve done.

"I’ve also lost a lot of weight recently, so I’m feeling confident and like I want to dress up for a change. I definitely think I need a girls’ night out soon to really let my hair down."

However, while she is feeling good about how she is looking, the Atomic Kittens star did admit that the upcoming festive period was making her "nervous". After Ryan being such a big part of her life for a long time, she is worried about Christmas being so busy without having him by her side.

"This week, I’m starting pantomime rehearsals for Cinderella with Katie Price, which I’m looking forward to," she said. "I’m excited to be kept busy with work – it will take my mind off everything else that’s been going on like my mum’s poor health and splitting up from Ryan.

"I’ve been trying to get my Christmas shopping out of the way before I run out of time. I’m a bit nervous about how I’m going to juggle caring for the kids and being so full on with the panto, now that I don’t have Ryan at home. It is going to be a lot more difficult on my own. I’m not feeling festive at all, but I’m trying to stay positive for the kids."
