Jenny Dixon is looking forward to a chilled out family Christmas with husband Tom and twin daughters Bella and Capri.

It has been another busy year of parenting for the loved up couple, who welcomed their baby girls in April 2023.

The former Fair City star, who recently told us about her girls making their TV acting debut, wants to soak up all of the festive fun as a family and is looking forward to making new traditions as they get older.

Jenny’s Christmas will see her spend time between Dublin and Limerick and she will also attend one of her best friend’s wedding.

She told RSVP Live: “Christmas will be a mixture of different things. It will be traditional, but it is all go, too.

“We’ll go to Adare, where Tom is from for part of Christmas and then spend the other part in Dublin.

“I have one of my best friends' weddings before New Year’s Eve at Kilkea Castle. She was a bridesmaid for my wedding, so I’m really looking forward to that.”

Life with two toddlers is busy, so Jenny carves out family time whenever she can and the family of four have been enjoying movie days together.

She said: “This sounds really cheesy, but when the girls wake from their naps on the weekends, the four of us have started watching Christmas movies. They have a snack and me and Tom enjoy a cup of tea together.

“It’s partly out of necessity, we will just be about to eat and the babies wake up. So we’re like, okay, let’s roll this into a family activity. I want to introduce them to all of the Christmas cartoons I loved growing up, like The Grinch.”

Jenny always goes to mass on Christmas Eve and wants to create a family tradition with Bella and Capri. She and Tom are also toying with the idea of jetting abroad for the New Year after a hectic 2024.

She added: “I love going to Christmas Eve mass, so I’m going to try to find a children’s version and try to bring the girls. I would love to travel before the girls turn two, because we haven’t brought them abroad yet. We’d look at maybe doing something over Christmas, because myself and Tom enjoy going away for New Year’s Eve.

“Life can get a little too busy sometimes so I’m looking forward to winding down over the Christmas break.”
