Maura Higgins reveals if she is looking for love on I'm a Celeb following Pete Wicks 'split'

Maura Higgins has expressed her doubts about finding love on 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! The 33-year-old reality star is set to make a late entrance on the ITV1 jungle reality show on Thursday night's episode.

Despite rumours of dating 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Pete Wicks, 36, she insists that she is single and romance is unlikely in the jungle. She said: "It is quite scary going in later. They have all met and got to know each other. It's never easy being the newbie, but I am not a shy person, so I feel like I will be fine. It will be nice to bring some energy to the camp. I am single at the moment, but honestly no-one is going to fancy me in the jungle. Trust me! ".

The former 'Love Island' star, who previously competed on 'Dancing on Ice', is eager to brave the Australian outback. She's excited to get to know hosts Ant and Dec but admits to being "very nervous" due to her fear of everything the jungle has to offer.

She said: "This is the only TV show I have ever wanted to do and it's a real pinch me moment. I am ready to step outside my comfort zone. I hope I do make myself proud and I am both excited but also very nervous, because I am scared of absolutely everything.

"But I have watched this show for years and it will be nice to get to know Ant and Dec, who I have met on the red carpet before."
