Late Late Show viewers find a new 'national treasure' on country music special

The annual Late Late Country Music Special aired on Friday night and comedian Garron Noone made a big impression on viewers as they didn't know he is also a singer

Late Late Show viewers loved seeing new "national treasure" Garron Noone on Friday night's country special.

Patrick Kielty hosted the annual TV special, which sees country singers from all across Ireland come together to celebrate the genre of music they love so well.

Daniel O'Donnell, Margo, Cliona Hagan, Claudia Buckley, Mike Denver and many more familiar faces were all present on the night. However, a new face on Ireland's music and social media scene made his Late Late debut and viewers loved watching him.

To many, Garron Noone is best known as a comedian and often goes viral on social media for his comedy videos, all of which he signs off by saying, "follow me, I'm delicious". But as it turns out, the Mayo man is quite a talented musician and singer and showed off his vocals while sat next to Margo O'Donnell and Mike Denver on Friday night.

Chatting with Patrick, Garron told of his delight to be making his Late Late Show debut, before treating the audience and viewers at home to a performance of When You Say Nothing At All.

Social media went mad for the TikTok star, praising not only his comedy skills but his singing voice too.

"Absolutely amazing singing Garron well done," one viewer wrote on Facebook.

"He is brilliant singer," gushed a second.

"What a voice.. he is fantastic," a third person wrote.

"Brilliant love following him he is a hoot," another said while a fifth referenced Garron's famous phrase: "He's delicious!"

"Love him, a serious talent both comedy and music," a sixth viewer remarked while another said: "A natural entertainer ..He'll be going places!"
