Alan Halsall will forever be the adorable local mechanic from Coronation Street that has landed himself in some trouble over the years.

After 26 years of starring on the widely popular soap, he has been involved in major storylines - from cheating on his wife Fiz Brown and fathering a secret child to discovering that his mother wasn’t actually biologically related to him.

The set of Corrie has also been the place where the actor has met two of his ex-partners - Lucy-Jo Hudson and Tisha Merry.

Lucy-Jo Hudson

Alan has been married once before and that was to his Lucy-Jo Hudson. The former couple met on the Corrie set in 2002 and tied the knot in 2009. However, they later announced their separation in May 2018.

They share a daughter together, named Sienna-Rae, who was born on 8 September 2013.

The soap star opened up about being single and how he loves spending time with his daughter recently while on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

He shared: “I love what I've got, even though I'm on my own, I love it when it's just me and Sienna. And that'll change, I'm sure it'll change at some point but I'm just happy being Dad.”

Alan and Lucy co-parent their daughter together and she splits her time between both of her parents.

Lucy took to social media to address comments as her ex-husband continues to appear on the reality show.

In a video ahead of the programme’s newest season, she said: Just wanted to put the record straight. First of all, me and my ex have been divorced seven years. I actually can’t believe it’s a topic of conversation because it’s pretty boring.

“We share Sienna 50/50. We communicate. She’s a happy kid. We get on great. We have to work out weekends – what we’re swapping, certain days he wants, certain days I want.

“We're constantly communicating because it’s important for Sienna and to plan what we're doing. We don’t want her missing out so we change things for each other.”

Lucy shared that she and partner Lewis Devine plan to sit down with Sienna to watch her dad on the show.

“Second of all, myself and Lewis will be sat down with Sienna watching the jungle. We wish him nothing but the best,” she added.

“We are going to be there for Sienna supporting her throughout this journey because, yes, she’s going to miss her dad. He’s in her life all the time, so this is quite a strange thing.”

Tisha Merry

Alan later dated another Coronation Street actress - Tisha, who played Steph Britton. Her character decided to leave the Cobbles in 2017 for Portugal after being targeted by criminal Pat Phelan.

However, she briefly returned in January 2018 to attend her brother Luke’s funeral after he was murdered by the same man.

The pair went public with their relationship in May 2019 when they shared a picture of themselves together laughing at their co-star Sam Ashton’s wedding.

They had been dating for a month by that time and had been close friends before then.

Tisha has shared that she admired Alan’s parenting abilities and even asked him to help her babysit.

While she was meant to be in charge, she explained that he was so good and experienced as a dad, he took care of the babysitting duties instead.

Alan and Tisha later moved in together into a gorgeous home in Manchester. However, it was reported that they went their separate ways in early 2024 but remained friends.
