Sean Cassidy urges Gwen Connolly not to let Anna leave on bad terms. Anna is thrown when Dolores, played by Martina Stanley, apologises and accepts culpability for what happened.
In the end, Anna says her goodbyes to everyone and she is touched when Gwen shows up to see her off.
Sash Bishop fails to get a grumpy Sean to return to the Grotto. They pair make amends, and Sean agrees to return to his elf duties. What is going to happen next?
Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Joan and Con Rafferty get their wires crossed as they mediate their new romance. James Rafferty annoys Rafferty with a barbed comment about his lack of chemistry with Joan.
Stung over his earlier comment, Rafferty calls James out on his own relationship failures. Hughie Phelan encourages Rafferty to draw inspiration from Bob and Renee’s long-standing relationship.
Joan, played by Noni Stapleton, catches Rafferty off guard when she gives him a direct offer – commit or call it a day.
Ruby Mullen proves that she is a chip off the old block when she negotiates a high profit margin on Dean Dowling’s chocolates for her dad Victor. Victor and Babs worry that Ruby is taking liberties when she plans on spending her earnings prematurely.
Victor is surprised to learn that Ruby has been selling the chocolates for over the agreed price, but he covers for her with Dean. Victor calls Ruby out on her grift and makes her pay up.
Dean is relieved to receive a fair share of the profits, but her actions show her parents realise that she has a cunning side.
