Smart reason I'm A Celeb stars no longer have phone numbers on their uniforms
by Shauna Bannon Ward · RSVP LiveThe uniforms for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! rarely change - with campmates wearing the same outfit as their predecessors have done for years.
They normally change between their tan two-piece or the go-to navy top and bright red trousers.
People will also be used to their big boots and their river-style hats. But there’s one change that viewers are starting to notice with this year’s celebrities and that’s the phone numbers on the back of their t-shirts.

The number that people can call or text to vote for their favourite campmates is missing from this series.
Instead viewers will just see the celebrity’s full name - for example, Jane Moore or Barry McGuigan.
People watching the show took to social media to point out the difference.
One commenter said: “Feels weird that no one has a phone number on their back this year”.
A second online user shared: “So 2024 is the year they’ve finally got rid of phone voting… who’s gonna shout call the SHORT NUMBER now”.
A third viewer wrote: “WHERE are the phone numbers on the back of their shirts? I know the app exists, but you never mess with a 22-year tradition!”
A fourth I’m a Celeb fan added: “All of the t-shirts having full government names on the back rather than their first names and a phone number is sending me.”
With another person stating: “No phone lines to vote this year then, I'm gonna miss hearing ‘The short number’ being said”.
Apparently, the reason behind the change was a smart one on behalf of the people behind the reality show.
“Over the years, the number of people voting by phone has declined, and it's become a very small proportion of votes cast. To simplify the message to our viewers, we have chosen to only have free online (via the app) voting this year,” a source told the MailOnline.
If you want to vote for a specific campmate, you can do it on their app. Viewers are given five free votes, with the trials and ‘vote for your favourite’ options only available via the app.
