Morah Ryan was all smiles as she was joined by partner Don Mescall and family for a festive night out this week.

She and Limerick musician Don, who began dating in 2019, were pictured with daughter Lottie and son Elliot for the opening night of Peter Pan at the Gaiety Theatre on Wednesday night.

Morah looked glam as ever wearing a chic gold coat over a black ensemble as she smiled for the camera with Don, Lottie and Elliot.

Lottie's three-year-old son Wolf was also in attendance, with the radio presenter telling her Instagram followers: "Wolf's first panto and boy was it a good one. Peter Pan in @gaiety_theatre is just stunning".

Praising the theatre's legendary Panto Dame, stage actor Joe Conlan, Lottie added: "@joeconlan1 never fails to bring magic to the room...what a night."

Earlier this year, Don lifted the lid on his relationship with Morah. The singer-songwriter said she is very easy to be around and he appreciates that she understands the demands of the entertainment industry.

"With Morah, because she had an understanding of the entertainment business, having been married to Gerry Ryan, she knew how it worked," he told the Changing Times: The Allenwood Conversations podcast.

"So the pressure I would have felt in my previous relationship, of being away from that person or the things that you have to do, she'd understand and she'd go, 'I know what he's doing, he's got to do that'. That's one of those things that right from the get go I noticed, she's been here before.

"Our ability to laugh, the majority of the time at each other ... I think that's wonderful because life is so fragile, life is so short and we take ourselves way too seriously. We just make each other laugh a lot and I find her very, very easy to be around. I can be totally myself, I don't have to be trying to be anybody else, I'm just me and she seems to like me! I still try to figure out why, but she really genuinely does. She thinks I'm great. She's great."

Don has also gotten the seal of approval from Morah's kids, whom she welcomed with the late and much loved RTE presenter Gerry Ryan.

Actor son Rex previously told the Irish Sun: "It takes great courage to come out with a new partner later in life because there’s always the danger of it not going to plan. It’s a risk saying I am committing to this person in public. But I’m glad mum choose Don because I get on with him, and I’m really happy for her.

"He’s a very talented guy who I’ve welcomed into my own theatre to play gigs."

While Lottie added: "All the kids had been saying to her that we wanted her to find someone and now it’s happened, we’re so happy. We’re delighted for mum. Smiling, and laughing and living life and enjoying it, that’s all we want for mum.

"After everything that happened, I know all my dad would want is for my mum to be happy – and she is really, really happy."
