BBC Strictly star makes elimination prediction and shocks It Takes Two panel

Former Strictly Come Dancing champion and presenter Ore Oduba made an unexpected comment on the BBC's It Takes Two, when he discussed who might be facing the chop in the coming weekend's show.

During Friday's showing of It Takes Two on BBC, host Fleur East welcomed guests including Blue Peter legend Sarah Greene, comedian Suzi Ruffell, and TV personality Ore. The trio provided their genuine insights into the heart of the competition and the contenders who have stuck around.

Yet, it was Ore's speculation over which dancing duo could be facing elimination that raised eyebrows. He named Chris McCausland and his professional partner Dianne Buswell as a possible pair in peril, saying: "I'm here representing the musical theatre community."

He continued with a contentious remark, stating: "If you come out on telly, on record saying you hate musicals, you're asking for trouble!"

While holding a placard showing Chris and Dianne, Ore elaborated: "No, I think they're an amazing pair. It's just the kind of thing that when you're so behind someone, people kind of think that they don't need to vote," reports the Express.

His advice was clear: "So you've got to make sure you vote for people you want to see next week!" Ore's assertion, however, was met with puzzled looks from his fellow panellists, who were shocked by his claims.

The audience on social media platform X also voiced their opposition, with one annoyed viewer posting: "Ore talking absolute nonsense, people won't stop voting for Chris for making a joke comment about not liking musicals ffs."

Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts have taken to social media to share their thoughts after the recent Friday panel deliberations. A particularly watchful fan pointed out: "Friday panel has spoken: it is Pete and Jowita 2 - Chris and Dianne 1. The latter because Chris said he hates musicals.."

Other fans echoed Ore Oduba's comments from the panel, with one viewer voicing their worry online: "Ore saying on the Friday panel that he thinks Chris could be leaving this week as people will assume he's getting all the votes and not vote for him... Yeah THIS is exactly what we can't let happen!"

Chris, making history as the show's first blind competitor, together with his professional partner Dianne, continues to impress the nation throughout this year's series of Strictly, despite Chris sharing his earlier apprehensions about participating.

Initially declining invitations from the BBC, Chris confessed: "It terrified me. I don't mind stretching myself, but I have to know something's possible."
