Hundreds join magical Christmas singalong
by Lewis Clarke · DevonLiveThe Square in Barnstaple came alive on Saturday, December 14, as families, friends, and festive spirits gathered for Carols on the Square.
With live music, warm food, and plenty of Christmas cheer, the event, organized by The Veterans Charity, was hailed as a resounding success.
Danny Greeno, of The Veterans Charity said: “It was incredible to see so many people come together to celebrate Christmas in such a wonderful way. The sense of community was overwhelming, and the evening was filled with smiles, laughter, and festive spirit."
The event featured live performances, with the vocals of Tamsin Ball and the festive sounds of The Appledore Band filling the air.
"The music was magical," Danny added. "Tamsin and The Appledore Band created such a special atmosphere that everyone couldn’t help but sing along."
Families enjoyed a variety of seasonal delights, including treats from The Box Bar Devon, and Paul’s Grill. Kids and adults alike were thrilled by the VC Elves' festive fun.
Danny extended thanks to sponsors M & R Marquees, Barnstaple Town Centre, and Barnstaple Town Council.
“Their contributions helped make this event the success it was, and we’re so grateful for their ongoing support of our work and our veterans,” he said.
