BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans all have the same JB and Lauren complaint
by Monde Mwitumwa, Jessica Sansome · DevonLiveStrictly Come Dancing viewers voiced the same complaint about JB Gill and Lauren Oakley's recent routine though it turns out, they weren't to blame.
The pair were among the seven remaining couples who took to the dance floor on Saturday night (November 23) for week ten of the BBC One show after the previous weekend's Blackpool extravaganza.
JLS singer JB and his professional dance companion garnered an almost perfect score of 39 out of 40 for their exuberant Charleston to Yes Sir! That's My Baby by Firehouse Five Plus Two.
Sporting white trousers, a striped shirt, and braces, the musician executed a series of impressive stunts, including flipping Oakley upside down and a cartwheel spin, all the while demonstrating rapid footwork.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood labelled the act "pure class", Motsi Mabuse commented that JB had found the "right swag" after loosening up, and head judge Shirley Ballas expressed her gratitude towards Gill for the "so much joy" he brought into the ballroom, calling his performance "amazing".
Following Amy Dowden's injury-related exit earlier in the month, which forced her to withdraw from the competition, JB has been partnered with Lauren since the seventh week, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The Welsh dancer, who had missed the last season due to undergoing cancer treatment, was seen in the audience, cheering on the duo as they secured their second almost perfect score in succession.
Strictly fans at home were left with a bit of a bitter taste after the latest round of performances failed to deliver the coveted perfect 40. @Momrocks50 took to Twitter expressing disbelief: "Still no 40 lordy! That Charleston deserved 40 JB did well #Strictly." (sic)
Frustration was evident from one viewer who wrote: "I'm really losing my patience with Craig, JB just gave a terrific routine worthy of a maximum 40! #Strictly." (sic)
Over on social media, another challenged the judges' decision, penning: "Nobody could point a single flaw or criticism out for JB. HOW IS THAT NOT A 40 ? ! #strictly." (sic)
While a third voiced their surprise, adding: "I am shocked that Craig didn't give a 10 there, there was not a single negative said about JB and that to me should be a perfect score #Strictly." (sic)
One more criticised: "Catching up with Strictly as I missed JB's performance and how wasn't that a 40? ! Damn you Craig! He was brilliant! #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing." (sic)
