Alongside a photo of her mother's clasped hands and their half-finished crossword, Langsford wrote: "Hospital visit....thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum. She'll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she's in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she'll be home for Christmas."

Ruth Langsford shared a heartfelt update with her over one million followers about her mother Joan's health after a fall in December that fractured her pelvis, disrupting their Christmas plans, reports the Mirror.
"No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas," Langsford revealed on Instagram, disclosing her mum's condition.
Langsford stated: "She's ok...ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. She's in hospital at the moment but I'm hoping to get her home soon."
She added: "This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well...she's a very strong woman so I'm sure she'll recover from this too."
The TV presenter acknowledged that her mum's accident has given her a new perspective on life, saying: "Put's life and what's important into perspective eh? Happy Christmas!"
Amidst the personal challenges, Ruth and her estranged husband are reportedly eager to finalise their divorce swiftly and part ways with their £3.5 million home, reports the Daily Mail.
While Ruth wishes to remain in the marital home for stability, Eamonn is looking to move on and has already started a new chapter with counsellor Katie Alexander, who is 22-years his junior. Insiders claim: "Ruth is keen to stay in their marital home as it is where she is settled, Eamonn on the other hand wants to get out and make a fresh start."
