Person dies in hospital after Canterbury crash

A person has died in hospital after being injured in a crash in Pegasus, north of Christchurch, earlier this week.

They were in a car that hit a tree after leaving the road on Pegasus Boulevard, about 2.30pm on Tuesday.

Police said they died in hospital on Friday.

Inquiries are continuing into the crash.
