Police working to locate lost trio

A police search and rescue team is working to locate three people lost on a North Taieri walking track.

Police received a report at 7pm on Sunday the group had become lost and disorientated on Chalkies Track, near Whare Flat.

A spokeswoman said search and rescue had the group's coordinates and had advised them to remain where they were.

Police this morning said efforts were under way to locate the trio.

The spokeswoman last night said they did not believe anyone was injured.
