It's finally happening, The Witcher fans! The Game Awards has just brought us the first official reveal of The Witcher 4 with Ciri taking centre stage.

We're almost out of 2024 and yet we've just had some of the best news of the year: The Witcher 4 has now been revealed courtesy of The Game Awards, confirming Ciri as its protagonist. Take a look at the beautiful new trailer below, and let us prepare for a follow-up to one of the best Xbox RPGs out there.
Ciri confirmed as protagonist for The Witcher 4
"We're thrilled to reveal the first look at The Witcher 4 — our upcoming single-player open-world RPG. It marks the beginning of a new saga with Ciri as a protagonist, embarking on her own journey to become a professional monster slayer," CD Projekt Red says.
That's all we know for now, but oh wow is it enough. We knew The Witcher 4 recently entered full-scale production, but this is the first time we've had such a detailed look at the game. We hoped Ciri would feature as the main character if it couldn't be Geralt, but as that voiceover at the end of the trailer suggests, he'll still feature in The Witcher 4.
