ITV I'm A Celebrity's Danny Jones leaves Australia as he makes king status clear

Danny Jones, the McFly star who recently gained king of the jungle status on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, has provided a significant update. Earlier this month, he was crowned the winner of the ITV reality show's 2024 series.

He reached the final three alongside TV personality Coleen Rooney, who finished as runner-up, and third-place star Reverend Richard Coles before being confirmed as the king of the jungle, following in the footsteps of his McFly bandmate Dougie Poytner. The 38 year old has described his year as 'crazy', having also won The Masked Singer and been the joint-winning coach on The Voice UK.

He confessed that he had planned to take a six-month break to move house ahead of his tour next year, but couldn't resist the opportunity to participate in I'm A Celeb. Although he didn't get the six months off he had hoped for, Danny has been spotted enjoying some extra time in Australia with his wife Georgia, their son Cooper, and his mum Kathy.

Over the weekend, Bolton-born Danny revealed that it wasn't quite the holiday they had anticipated, sharing a video of himself and his mum singing by the poolside as rain poured down. "Go to Australia they said... " he joked.

However, the entertainer will be returning to the UK soon. On Instagram on Tuesday, he posted a video to his Story, saying: "Last day in Oz. It's been awesome.", reports the Manchester Evening News.

He went on: "It's been an experience and I'm coming home as the king! " Jones then repeated his claim to the throne in a musical tone before the video ended.

This follows Jones sharing snaps of himself and his six year old son Cooper having a great time in Australia together. In one of the snaps posted, they are laying back on the golden sandy beach with crowns etched into the sand above their heads.

"The King and The Prince," he wrote. Many fans quickly commented on the posts.
