BBC Death in Paradise fans all saying same thing after first look at awaited Christmas special

With just one week left until the special episode, they shared a first-look image on their official social media platforms, featuring the cast in their holiday attire.
The preview photo shows Ram John Holder as Nelson Myers, wearing a floral shirt, alongside a co-star dressed as Santa Claus, complete with a sling and carrying a package. On Instagram, the show's account posted: "Got all your Christmas shopping done? Just one week to go until we kick off Christmas week with the #DeathInParadise Christmas special! " While many fans expressed their excitement, some were frustrated by the wait.
One fan commented on the BBC drama's update: "I need it right now."
Another added: "Looking forward to watching it."
Many others echoed their anticipation, commenting that they "can't wait". This year's Christmas special will see Don Gilet join the cast as DI Mervin Wilson, who takes on his first case in Saint Marie involving three Santas shot by the same gun simultaneously, according to the Express, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The star-studded cast includes Don Warrington returning as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Danny John-Jules reprising his role as Officer Dwayne Myers, and Elizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey, with Ram John Holder back as Nelson Myers.
Comedian Marcus Brigstocke is set to join the cast of 'Death in Paradise' as tourist Stuart Fullwell. Speaking to BBC Morning Live's Jacqui Joseph and Gorden Smart, Brigstocke shared his excitement: "Obviously I was thrilled because I know that Death in Paradise have been looking for the new detective."
He went on to say, "So when the call came I instantly called Rachel my wife and said I'm pretty sure we are going to be moving to Guadalupe for six months out of the year."
Despite learning his character would not last long, he remained upbeat about the opportunity: "It was quickly made clear to me that I was going to be killed off but I was still over the moon. It's a beautiful, brilliant, funny and engaging show. It's so fun to do."
